# Work with conversations

> Reply to visitors and keep your TinyInbox inbox tidy.

Conversations collect visitor messages for each site. Use the inbox to read,
reply, and close conversations after you have handled them.

## Read visitor context

Each conversation can include:

* The site where the message was sent
* The page URL, when available
* The visitor name or email, when identified
* The latest message preview
* The conversation status

This context helps you answer quickly without asking the visitor to repeat where
they were or what they were trying to do.

## Image and video attachments

Visitors can attach images or a video to a message from the widget. Each
message supports up to **4 images** (10 MB each, JPEG/PNG/GIF/WebP/AVIF) or
**1 video** (50 MB, MP4/MOV/WebM/M4V).

Attachments appear inline in the dashboard conversation view. Click an image
to open it full size. Attachment links are signed and expire, so do not
forward them outside TinyInbox — open them from the dashboard instead.

## Reply to a visitor

Open a conversation, write your reply, and send it. TinyInbox adds your reply to
the same thread the visitor sees in the widget.

If you do not reply within 3 hours of the visitor's last message, TinyInbox
sends you an unreplied-message follow-up email. See
[Email notifications](/en/guides/notifications).

## Mark messages as read

Opening or reading a conversation updates the read state for your inbox so new
visitor replies are easier to spot.

Each message also includes a seen or not seen status. Visitor messages become
seen when you open the thread, and your replies become seen after they are
visible in the visitor's widget.

## Close a conversation

Close a conversation when the issue is handled. Closed conversations stay in
TinyInbox, but they no longer sit with active work.

Reopen the conversation if the visitor writes back or if you need to continue
the thread.
